Florida Memory Timeline Challenge
As the nation celebrates the 250-year anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Florida is contributing to the commemoration through America250FL to highlight how our state was writing its own unique chapter in American History long before 1776. The Florida Memory Timeline Challenge explores that long and vast history and provides an exciting and interactive way to learn about Florida's critical role during the American Revolution and beyond.
Grounded in Florida's statewide 4th-12th grade social studies standards, this timeline challenge encourages students and history lovers of all ages to test and strengthen their knowledge of both Florida and U.S. history by arranging historical events, figures, and documents in their correct chronological order.
Whether you want to jump right in and start the challenge or take some time to review the different events by subject, the Timeline Challenge is an educational activity for everyone looking to engage with Florida and U.S. history in a fun and interactive way.
