Facility was opened December 4, 1957 when Governor LeRoy Collins said, 'I declare this plant formally dedicated to the services of America.' Plant produced the Lacrosse and the Pershing army field artillery missile, the Bullpup, a Navy air-to-surface missile, and the Missile Master, an electronic air defense control system.
