These are recovered from wreck of Spanish galleon sunk by hurricane off Plantation Key in 1733. The figurine resembles a llama and is only decorative. The whistle was shaped like a bird and by blowing through the tail the sound was made. The whistle still works despite 225 years underwater. The museum, owned by treasure diver Arthur McKee, is located at Treasure Harbor, U.S.1, on Plantation Key, 5 miles south of Tavernier.
