Elizabeth was baptized August 16, 1942 at St. Stephen's Church in Coconut Grove, Florida. Her baptism was the first in which the Seminole Indian Council gave consent to since the days of Bishop Gray. Elizabeth is also the great granddaughter of Chief Osceola.
