One of the many steps in production of marine lamps from raw forge to shiny completion is shown here on a production line in the Perkins Marine Lamp & Hardware (Perko) Corporation plant in North Miami. The 52-year-old company maintains its own foundry, and polishing and grinding departments, to produce lamps and hardware fittings for boats and ships ranging from canoes to battleships and ocean liners.
