The station's tracking radar and communications antennas supported testing activity by tracking targets and weapons then transmitting the timing, telemetering and radar data to a centralized control point at Eglin Air Force Base. The four-frequency microwave system carrying more than 100 voice channels bounced radio signals off the earth's troposphere.
