The Miami beach Times was situated at 1428 Alton Road, until new owners folded the paper in 1975. The paper was founded in 1927 as Miami Beach Democrat and the name was changed to Times in 1930. J.H. Wendler was the publisher of the city's first and oldest. Upon his death his son James P. Wendler took over as publisher and his wife Alice was editor.
