General Note
Located next to the State Theatre. The business opened in 1929 and burned on December 6, 1933. It was owned by Victor and John Camechis.
The State Theatre, originally known as the Capital City and owned by H.B. Maund, was located in a remodeled livery stable. It was bought by C.E. Daffin in 1914 and remodeled and renamed the Daffin Theater. It opened as the State Theatre on Feburary 13, 1932 and burned with the Venetia Restaurant in December, 1933.
The Tallahassee Fire Department provides emergency services from fires and fire hazards, as well as first response to biological, chemical and radioactive hazards. Its mission is to prevent or minimize the loss of life and property, protect the environment, assist in cooperative emergency medical services, mitigate the consequences of natural and unforeseen disasters, and provide non-emergency support services, through professional and effective delivery, to all who live, visit, work or invest in the City of Tallahassee and Leon County.
