Biographical Note
Born in Wallingford, Connecticut on April 27, 1790. He came to Florida in 1826 from Madison, Indiana to become the U.S. District Attorney: 1826-1846. He served as Florida Supreme Court Justice from January 1846 to 1851 then again from 1854-1855 (Chief Justice 1846-1851). Thomas Douglas died on September 11, 1855.
