Biographical Note
Earned a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1940 and a doctorate with high honors in 1943 from the University of Florida. Cypen was an assistant city attorney for Miami Beach from 1949 to 1953 and later served as municipal judge for the city and then as judge in the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida from 1958 to 1963. Founded the law firm of Cypen & Cypen. He later became president of the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society in 1991.
