Ben Hill Griffin Jr., of Polk county, and Eugene Griffin (no relation), chairman of the governing board, have this informal meeting after the warring legislators finally compromied on a highly controversial bill. Representatives from the four counties involved, Polk, Hardee, DeSoto and Charlotte, reached the compromise in private conference. Representative Ben Griffin was strongly opposed to the bill before compromise. Eugene Griffin said he was "very satisfied."
