"New University President--Harold B. Croby, above, of Gainesville, was named by the state cabinet today to head the yet-to-be-built University of Pensacola. Croby, 45, a native Floridian, is a professor of law and former circuit court judge, is currently Dean of University Relations and Development at the University of Florida. The new university was approved by the 1963 Legislature to serve students at the junior and senior level in the Florida panhandle area."
