General Note
Designed by architect Artemus Roberts and built in 1926. It was later added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on October 13, 2003.
Slides identified: 1. camera facing northeast in the tea room showing fireplace with high mantle and ribbon casement windows with distinctive mullion patterning, 2. camera facing south in the tea room, 3. camera facing west showing close-up of stage area in the auditorium, 4. camera facing south, auditorium with small stage for performances and lectures, 5. camera facing east, looking through three sets of bi-fold French doors between the auditorium and tea room, 6. camera facing east, the western facade has a single door that exits from the stage area onto a high concrete stoop, 7. camera facing south, the stylistic character of the building is basically a combination of Prairie Style and Mediterranean Revival features, 8. camera facing southwest, the eastern elevation features a large exterior chimney attached to a faceted wall bay and flanked by a pair of casement windows with an upper row of divided mullioned glass, a small hipped canopy roof supported by wood brackets shelters the "brides entrance" found at the northeast corner, 9. camera facing north, the building contains a large central hall which serves as a social hall or auditorium with smaller rooms located off the central hall.
