Born April 8, 1802, the son of John Bellamy (who in 1826 completed the construction of the road between St. Augustine and Tallahassee, still known as the Bellamy Road), he married Emmala Ann Simpkins and was the father of four daughters. At the death of his father, he inherited Bellamy Plantation. William Bellamy died on July 10, 1846.
