General Note

Popular on the folk circuit in the 1960s, the Beers family was sent in 1968 by the U.S. Department of State on a tour of India, and played for the White House in 1969. In 1966, they also began the popular Fox Hollow Festival in upstate New York. The group ended after the death of Bob Beers in 1972.
