Description

Letter from the Delray Beach Civic League to Governor LeRoy Collins, asking him to intervene in a dispute between the City Commission of Delray Beach and the city's African American community regarding segregated beaches. The African American community had recently demanded equal access to the city's municipal beach, whereupon the city commission drafted a resolution to exclude the African American neighborhoods of Delray Beach from the city limits.
