UNITED STATES SENATE
WASHINGTON, D.C. 20510

Dear [Roxcy]:
Just want to let you know that I enjoyed talking with you last Saturday and I am sorry we couldn't have spent more time together.
As co-sponsor of the Equal Rights Amendment, I will do my best to see that this very important piece of legislation be enacted.
Although it would be impossible to present a bill to the Senate this session to establish a National day of recognition for women's rights, I will certainly make every effort in the next session to see that this be enacted.
With kindest regards,
Sincerely yours,
[Signature] Edward J. Gurney
