General Note
The house was a prefabricated home purchased from Sears, Roebuck and Co., and assembled on the site in 1917. Charles Delemere Haines built nearby waterworks to pump irrigation water from Lake Orienta into his fernery and installed generators to provide power to the house and extensive outdoor lighting around the property.
