Dear Ms. Bolton:
As you know, the County Commission has voted unanimously to support the implementation at a center for the immediate and follow-up care of rape victims, such center to be a part of our series of specialty care programs in the Jackson Memorial Hospital complex.
County Commissioner Bev Phillips is charing an ad hoc committee to assist in the development of a center that meets the objectives of the Commission and the community leaders who have been advocates of such a program.
Commissioner Phillips has requested that you serve as a member of the ad hoc committee. Total membership is listed below. The first meeting is scheduled for:
Date: Thursday, November 29, 1973
Time: 10 A.M.
Place: Mayor's Conference Room
Second Floor, County Courthouse
Staff of Jackson Memorial Hospital, the police departments, and the Manager's Office are developing additional thoughts and approaches on this matter. Staff suggestions and alternative plans will be discussed at the first meeting.
