Karl J. Walker, about 60, a railway freight agent in Tampa, was killed when the small plane he was flying crashed shortly after takeoff from Tallahassee Municipal Airport. The passenger with him, Mrs. Virginia Langlois, 45, also from Tampa (Cayuga Street), was on the critical list in the hospital. The flight originated in Tampa and was enroute to Beaumont, Texas, when the plane crashed. The cause of the accident was not determined at the time of the photograph.
Karl J. Walker was the father of Tallahassee optometrist, Dr. Edward K. Walker.
