The aerial view shows the section of Miami International Airport just west of LeJeune Road, where construction on the new overhaul base was begun in January, 1953. At right, near the top, is National Airlines' original maintenance building. Planes were serviced or overhauled, then wheeled across the road onto the airport, while automobiles waited.
