Accompanying note: "National Airlines' first Sarasota office was located in a small wooden hut across U.S. 41 from the Trail Drive-in Theater. That facility included an outhouse. When the Army Air Corps turned the Sarasota Army Air Field over to civilian authorities in 1946, National Airlines opened a new office in one of the former air base's headquarters buildings. Sarasota-Bradenton Airport later opened a new terminal in 1958 and National Airlines moved from the building pictured here into the new terminal at that time."
"The donor, Michael J. Drake, received this photo from Perry Snell of Sarasota."
