Accompanying note: "Tallahassee's Indianhead[sic] Acres, according to those who named the streets, offers an intriguing basic lesson in the Indian language. Eight of the roads, each designated 'Nene,' or trail, are numerical. Humpkin Nene, Trail One, is now Jim Lee Road, but Trails Two through Nine remain, bearing the names Hokolin, Toochin, Ostin, Chowkeebin, Apakin, Kolopakin, Chinnapakin and Ostinpakin, respectively. Considerable research by Mr. and Mrs. John Stead and LeMoyne Cash went into the naming of the roads, with Seminole, Cherokee and Creek languages as the source."
