General Note
In late 1921, barnstormer Mabel (Mable) Cody flew above Daytona Beach as Sigurd "Sig" Haugdahl drove his Frontenac while stuntman Louis "Bugs" McGowan transferred from the car to the airplane. The Mabel Cody flying Circus featured night-flying, wing-walking, auto-to-airplane transfers, single- and double-parachute drops, and acrobatic loop-to-loops. Mabel Cody was not officially a pilot.
