General Note
Steamers are moored at the Celestial Railroad dock. The "Celestial Railroad" was so named because the stations along its route were named Jupiter, Mars, Venus and Juno. Construction of the narrow gauge Jupiter & Lake Worth Railroad began in 1889 and was operating by April of 1890. It was part of the Plant System. British writer Julian Ralph is credited with the nickname from a March 1893 Harper's New Monthly Magazine article where he noted the station names along the line. The "Celestial Railroad" was dismantled in 1896.
