Ward would win the 1993 Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, and Davey O'Brien Award as a quarterback for Florida State University, and subsequently lead the Seminoles to their first-ever National Championship when FSU defeated Nebraska 18?16 in the 1994 Orange Bowl. He also played basketball during his four years at FSU and later became a 1st round pick in the 1994 NBA draft.
"Visit Florida" operates under a contract with the Office of Tourism, Trade and Economic Development as Florida's tourism marketing agency. "Visit Florida" is not a government agency, but rather a not-for-profit corporation later created as a public/private partnership by the Florida Legislature in 1996.
