Note the University of Tampa in the background. Opened in 1891 by Henry B. Plant as the Tampa Bay Hotel. Later added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 5, 1972.
Biographical Note
Hampton Dunn is a native Floridian. He has compiled more than fifty years in the communications fields--in newspapers, radio and television broadcasting. He has authored more than a dozen books on the history of Florida.
