Accompanying note: "Live Oak Perry & Gulf Railroad's 2-8-0 Consolidation Type locomotive No. 175 is crossing the Suwannee River at Dowling Park, Florida with the westbound afternoon mixed train No. 3 en route from Live Oak to Perry on July 3, 1945. LOP&G bought No. 175 in 1942 to pull solid trains of limerock from quarries near Mayo to Perry for use in building runways and building foundations for the Perry Army Airbase. The base was part of the war effort during World War II. It closed in 1945."
