General Note
The single screw steamer was constructed in Sunderland, England and launched in February 1898. It wrecked on May 26, 1900 at Lat 26 12.349 Lon 80 05.108 while transporting coal from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Havana, Cuba. It became Florida's fifth underwater archaeological preserve when it was dedicated in June 1994. The SS Copenhagen shipwreck was later added to the US National Register of Historic Places on May 31, 2001.
