"After completing his college education he moved to Leon Co., bought a 4,000 acre tract on the west side of Meridian Rd., east side of Lake Jackson. He built Mossview Plantation and married Margaret Maria Bradford, daughter of Dr. Edward and Martha Lewis Branch Bradford."
"Enlisted in Co. M, 2nd Reg. Florida Infantry. Lost a foot and was returned home."
"Died in Leon Co. from an injury to the same leg, on Oct. 13, 1874, and is buried in the Bradford Cemetery."
