The first story shows life in Florida in the 1950s. Residences, industries, attractions and pastimes are seen. The film is produced as a "Today Show" "feature." Viewers see the Apalachicola River and Woodruff Dam, the Everglades, Seminoles, Jacksonville scenes and Miami scenes. The second story follows a roving reporter around the state. Viewers see the Welcome Station, St. Augustine, Marineland, driving on Daytona Beach, Silver Springs, Cypress Gardens, Sunshine Skyway (one span), Sebring races, recreation and the Keys.
