Description

Memorandum from Kelsey Blanton in Lakeland to Helen S. Wells, district supervisor of the WPA Historical Records Survey. Blanton had apparently been assigned to determine whether the Polk County tax rolls could be used to extrapolate a list of churches in the county. Blanton reported that the tax assessor only used the word "church" to describe the owner of each church's property.
