Description

A list compiled by WPA worker Lillian Smith of churches appearing on the 1938 Lee County tax roll. The list indicates the name of the church, the page number where it appeared on the tax roll, and the town where it was located. Because the tax roll only listed church property as "Church," the worker also listed instances of church property given in the official plat books of the county.
