  • One reel to reel recording. Crider served as the emcee. Rice was born in Virginia, but entered the music scene in California. By the late 1960s and 1970s, he was popular on the bluegrass circuit. In the 1990s, he began recording for Rounder Records. The unit consisted of Rice (guitar); Ronnie Simpkins (bass); Rickie Simpkins (fiddle); Jimmy Goodson (mandolin); and Wyatt Rice (guitar).
