  • One audio cassette. A sampling of several songs by the Versiteers including Noah and God is Good to Me. The Versiteers were a black gospel a capella singing group. They consisted of Harry Mae Anthony, Artie Brooks, Myrtle Barton, L.V. Starling, and Belinda Carter. The recording was made to demonstrate the Versiteers' craft for nomination for the Florida Folk Heritage Award, for which they won in 1992. Images of the group receiving the award, as well as a recording of the ceremony can be found in S 1723.
