  • Four black and white prints. A bluegrass musical group, the Big Bend Folk Band were based at Florida State University in Tallahassee. Dr. John T. Greene, director of the university's marriage counseling service within the School of Social Welfare, led the group. The images were from the 1963 Florida Folk Festival. The folder also contains a letter from Greene to festival director Thelma Boltin. Greene played banjo and sang lead, while John Searcy played bass fiddle. The other musicians were unidentified.
