Biographical Note
Born in 1904, became the first woman to enroll in the University of Florida. She became a Columbia County home demonstration agent, teaching modern agricultural and canning methods. She was named Mother of the Year by the State of Florida in 1961. Lassie Goodbread Black died in 1996.
