Biographical Note
The bridge was named after R. N. "Bert" Dosh. This was designated by the 1976 legislature of Florida.
James Hunter Williams served as Lieutenant Governor, 1975-1979.
Lieutenant Governor James Hunter Williams, was chairman of the Bicentennial Commission of Florida. The Florida Bicentennial Commission has supported publication of more than 50 volumes on Florida past and present.
Sidney Dosh was the son of R. N. "Bert" Dosh.
Under the Constitutions of 1865 and 1868, Florida had an elected Lieutenant Governor who served as presiding officer of the Senate. This place was abolished with the adoption of the Constitution of 1885. The office was reestablished on January 7, 1969, but not as a Senate presiding officer.
