General Note
The Florida Centennial Celebration in Tallahassee, Florida occured between November 9-15, 1924. Ceremonies for white Floridians opened with services in all the Tallahassee churches on Sunday, November 7, 1924 and events continued throughout the week in Tallahassee, Florida. The Parade started at 11:00 A.M., on Friday, November 14, 1924 and lasted until 3:00 P.M. when awards for floats were presented. This was one of the last events of the Centennial Celebration for white Floridians, which ended with a Territorial Costume Ball at the Florida State College for Women at 8:00 P.M. The following day, Saturday, November 15, 1924, was reserved as "Negro activity day."
