General Note
One of the original four homes in Country Club Estates. Glenn Curtiss built the house for his mother, Lua Andrews Curtiss Adams, who had desired to live closer to her sons. Also known as the "Alamo", it is a Y-shaped two story Pueblo Revival style-building. Lua decided that the house did not meet her needs or suit her lifestyle, so the following year Glenn built her another larger home close by at 150 Hunting Lodge Drive. Both houses were later added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
