General Note
The Florida State Capital now stands where this waterfall and pond once were. The Cascades was where the two Florida delegates, one traveling from St. Augustine and the other from Pensacola, met and camped. Thereafter, this site was determined to be the mid-point between Florida's first two cities, and was designated the state capital.
