The oldest house in Melrose, it was built in 1877 by two Kentucky brothers (William Bonney and his brother) as a one-story farmhouse. It has been called Bonney Place, Bonnie View, and now Bonnie Mount.Remodeled a number of times, it was restored in 1986.
