Amelia Mather Keowin Perkins was born on July 22, 1824 as the daughter of John Keowin and Frances Stevens in Charleston, South Carolina. She died on July 6, 1897.
He was born on May 3, 1817 as the son of John Day Perkins and Elizabeth Bradshaw Perkins in Queen Ann County, Maryland. Moved to Tallahassee in 1837 and died on August 6, 1896.
Their first child was John Day Perkins born on November 15, 1843 and died on March 20, 1904. Their other children include: George Walker, Frances Elizabeth, Annie Berry, Ida Taylor, William Wightman, Mary Aurelia, Florence Papy, Thomas James Jr. and Lawrence Anderson.
