Isaac Ebenezer Barwick, born in Jefferson County on March 17, 1848 as the 3rd child of 8 born to Captain Wiley A. Barwick and Elizabeth Folson Barwick. He served as a 15 year old Private in Co. E, 1st Florida Reserves. He became a telegraphist employed by the International and Ocean Telegraph Company.
In 1869 he was sent to the Wildwood area to establish a telegraph station. He also served as an agent for the Florida Railway and Navigation Company. He never married but had a daughter. He died October 16, 1924 in the Confed. Vet's home in Jacksonville.
