Biographical Note
Granddaughter of a Prussian Jew who came to the US during the California gold rush of 1849. He was the father of Rachel, the first Jew born in Florida; Robert, who put up the first street lights in Tallahassee; and Julius, who married Henrietta Williams,became a prosperous feed and grain dealer in Tallahassee, and fathered Ruby and Sidney Diamond. Their home was on the Northeast coner of Monroe Street and Park Avenue.
Born September 1, 1886 and died at the age of 95 on March 8, 1982.
