Florida Memory is administered by the Florida Department of State, Division of Library and Information Services, Bureau of Archives and Records Management. The digitized records on Florida Memory come from the collections of the State Archives of Florida and the special collections of the State Library of Florida.
Online ordering for Florida Memory photos, maps and films is temporarily unavailable, but will return soon. In the meantime, we can accept orders for scans and prints by phone. Call the Photo Collection staff at 850.245.6708 during our regular hours of operation (9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday) for service. Old Seminole Field was christened Seminole Stadium March 28, 1983, after a one million dollar renovation was completed on the park. The stadium was dedicated in honor of Dick Howser in March of 1988 prior to an exhibition game between Florida State and the Kansas City Royals, two of Howser's former teams.
