Note from sleeve: James Wolf Smith home near Medart. Built in the 1850s. Smith was born in Pawtucket, RI in 1813. Moved to Thomas County, GA about 1831. About 1848 he moved his family to Wakulla Co. to a plantation he named Pawtuxet. Later became Medart. Served in the Legislature.
