General Note
Born on May 1, 1954, in Coral Gables, Florida. He joined the Army at 17 and served his two years as a mechanic before being discharged in 1973. In 1980 he married Brenda Welkner and also started working for the Metro-Dade Correction Department. On January 16, 1995 he was struck and killed by an automobile driven by Jesse Garfield Frances while assisting passengers of a disabled car on the side of the road. The name of Leonard Trudeau is inscribed on the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C. (on West Wall, Panel 13, Line 20).
