General Note
Born on August 12, 1961, in Long Beach, California. Graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1983 with a major in criminal justice. She joined the DEA on September 4, 1985. She was first sent to work in Columbia, South Carolina and later transferred to Miami in April of 1986. Agent Thompson was killed in plane crash on August 27, 1994 during a reconnaissance flight in Peru for a drug suppression program (Operation Snowcap). Her name is inscribed (East Wall, Panel 59, Line 19) on the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C.
