General Note
Born on December 17, 1949, in South Weymouth, Massachusetts. His family moved to Miami in 1966. Joined the Florida Highway Patrol on March 15, 1973 and served three years before joining the Metro-Dade Police Department in 1976. He died on April 29, 1990 from complications that began with carbon monoxide poisoning from a heroic ship rescue on October 4, 1988. His name is inscribed on the National Law Enforcement Memorial (West Wall, Panel 19, Line 3) in Washington, D.C.
